Program Overview

A Measurement System Analysis (MSA) is a specially designed experiment that seeks to identify the components of variation within the measurement process by evaluating the test method, measuring instruments, operators and environment to ensure the data integrity. MSA is a fundamental element of the production part approval process and latest quality management system, ISO/TS 16949.

  • All personnel / team members directly involved in continuous improvement / quality improvement initiatives from both the manufacturing and service.
  • To understand what is meant by the term ideal measurement system.
  • To interpret the typical sources of variation within a measurement system.
  • To understand how to perform MSA study and evaluate both variable and attribute data.
