CYBERJAYA, 21 June 2017 – Technology Depository Agency (TDA), an agency under the Ministry of Finance has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with DreamEdge Sdn Bhd (DESB), a local set-up with expertise in digital design engineering services and solutions.
The aim of signing this MoU is to establish the Technology and Innovation Centre (TIC) which will act as one of the enablers to support localization activities through the implementation of Industrial Collaboration Programme (ICP) in the country.
Dato’ Zailani Safari, Chief Executive Officer of TDA said that this collaboration with DESB will support localization activities especially with regards to design engineering services and solutions specifically in current rail projects in Malaysia.
“The Intelligent Data Management System (IDMS) will be used as one of the core tools to support this project”, he said. He further added that “we are positive that DESB has the right capabilities and expertise to ensure that the project deliverables meet the project requirements in terms of time, cost and quality”.
As the Malaysia ICP Authority, TDA aims to create collaborative platforms with industry partners to maximise the potential of ICP implementation in line with the Government’s aspiration. ICP is expected to contribute the growth of the national economy and generate more than USD17.5 billion worth of economic returns in Malaysia by the year 2020.
